FIND YOUR WAY
Our supportive structured extended care living is based on three principles: Support, Structure and Service. Each principle gives the resident the ability to build a secure, solid foundation in early recovery, that will ideally put them on a path for sustained recovery. All of these principles, will give residents the ability to learn, grow, and ultimately become responsible for their own recovery which truly is the best and only way for residents to remain clean. From our experience and circling back to our philosophy residents will learn how to remain clean in real life setting.

Support Structure Service
SUPPORT-Â "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE THERE TO SUPPORT YOU." MISTY COPELAND.
At GPS Recovery, one-one work with our recovery specialist is paramount in setting up the residents for success in early recovery. It is our belief; this environment will allow residents an open forum to discuss their own goals while at GPS, and what they would like to do to move forward.
In conjunction with our recovery specialist each resident will formulate a real , personalized, custom built game plan focusing on their own recovery and life goals.
Discussing and owning recovery goals; they can change and be re-navigated.
Developing a plan for support group meetings outside of the house.
Working on career-work pursuits; going back to school; or other interests wanting get involved with.
Development and facilitation of outside activities – hobbies interests.
Working closely with residents and family every step of the way to ensure an open line of communication and understanding.
The best way to transition out of GPS and take what you have learned.

STRUCTURE SAVES LIVES…
GPS Recovery believes a structured environment gives residents stability needed in early recovery as well as helping in learning on how to live a balanced life for years to come.
Each resident will be given an overall schedule. In the early days of recovery, we stress and emphasize self-care and allow for residents to bounce back physically and emotionally. They will be closely monitored and encouraged to be more involved as they start to adapt to their new environment
In working with the recovery specialists, there will always be a fluctuating/flexible but cleat cut daily structure. WE encourage accountability.
A daily routine as well as phased structured systems. (PHS)
PHS will address Self-Generated and Recovery Specialist targets that address aspirations and goals in monthly increments) This gives residents accountability for their own lives and allows them to grow.
SERVICE. SERVICE TO OTHERS IS THE RENT YOU PAY FOR YOUR ROOM HERE ON EARTH." MUHAMMAD ALI
GPS Recovery Service reflects the importance of giving back and mentoring newer residents. After a resident has been with GPS for a while and exhibits a solid foundation within their own program, they will be asked to foster a positive culture within the house.
Furthermore, longer term residents will be asked to take on more responsibility such as facilitating house meetings, preparing and cooking meals, planning activities outside of the house, and most importantly mentoring the new members; and demonstrating how imperative all three steps are at GPS. It has been said, if one can fully, authentically and generously give, in the way of service, they have gotten the meaning of their personal lessons.
